4 of 5 stars Read in March, 2014
A sweet contemporary vampire romance with a HEA revolving around Darcy, a thirty something, but inexperienced divorcee, trying to find a job to support herself, when she applies for a admin assistant job. Her boss is gorgeous but a little odd, sleeps in the day, doesn't eat.
Kian is 300 year old vampire, happily running an escort business, but needs a admin assistant. instant attraction follows, but he doesn't want to reveal his true nature, or drag her into his world.
I particularly enjoyed the scenes from his early life, when he was a slave, and I would have liked a little more detail about that part of his life, or his early days as a vampire.
The love scenes are sensual, the peril perilous, the hero is sexy and tortured, and the heroine nervous but determined to get what she wants, which is understandably Kian.
It kept my interest throughout, although it was a little predictable at times. A nice cosy read.
